About Genevieve

Genevieve is a Certified Nurse Midwife having graduated from Yale University School of Nursing with a Master’s in Nursing. She is a duel certified Nurse Midwife and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. Before going back to school to become a midwife, Genevieve received her Bachelor’s in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems and worked in farming and farm-to-school programing for the better part of a decade. She still enjoys all things food and agriculture.

Her decision to become a midwife was fueled by her time working as a doula in San Francisco. She became enamored with working with women during the transition into motherhood and across the lifespan. She believes in healthcare as a human right and increasing access to the midwifery model of care. She sees herself as a facilitator of healthcare and aims to empower her patients with the knowledge and information to make decisions about their own care. Her clinical interests include supporting physiologic birth, health at every size and trauma informed care.

Genevieve lives in Washington DC with her husband and daughter and enjoys camping, gardening, yoga, and whitewater rafting.
