Patrice graduated from midwifery school at the University of Minnesota in 1982 and has since delivered over two thousand babies. She was raised in San Antonio, Texas and Panama and is bilingual. She has a fifteen-year-old redhead (Ian, born at home in San Francisco!), loves metaphysics, painting, gardening, humor, and sewing and is just starting a Tae Kwon Do class. She married her high school sweetheart, Mark; by the way, he works at Home Depot.
