Margie joined Physicians and Midwives in 2005. After graduating from the Alexandria Hospital School of Nursing, she received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from George Mason University. She then received a Master of Science in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia, and a post-masters' certified in Nurse-Midwifery from the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing. Her first job at INOVA Alexandria was as a Junior Volunteer on the Maternity Unit! Prior to becoming a Certified Nurse-Midwife in 1996, she was a Labor and Delivery nurse, childbirth educator, nursing educator, and Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. Margie is a Certified Aunt, with seven nieces and nephews. She enjoys reading, baking bread, vacationing in Florida, and especially, catching babies!
